The winter trends always keep us guessing as the possibilities are endless, last year we saw the rise of winter pastels, whites, pinks and blues where everywhere…however now its tartan’s time to shine and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Highland decor style is marching its way into our homes, with its characteristic plaids, those classic patterns with their criss-crossed horizontal and vertical bands in multiple colours. The look can be enhanced by adding chunky, thick wool throws and cushions, faux animal fur and skins. You could accessories by mixing a collection of curios and vintage treasures that could include trunks and suitcases, old cameras and clocks, vintage maps and globes. While the pattern can still be found in traditional manner, it’s also been updated with fresh, modern colour palettes, making it suitable for any setting, whether you’re aiming for the fashionable rustic lodge or just fancy turning to the current passion for tartan now is the time to go for it

Another winter trend that has got us all excited is the return of metallic interiors…and we all know that nothing livens up a room in a more sublime fashion than a little twinkle, sparkle or shine! The use of metallics offers an opportunity to radiate a statement of glamour, elegance, or sophistication and creates interest in your interior space. Just think…what better time of the year to sprinkle your interiors with that extra glam…think about areas in which you intend to highlight and polish, drawing focus to these areas through the use of metallics. If you are uncertain whether metallic interiors are for you then take small steps into the transaction with metallic Christmas decorations around your home, especially on that gorgeous Christmas tree! This will help you get a feel for metallic in your interior space and may even fuel you imagination!

Ah! We nearly forgot to mention the most important aspect in sparkling that Christmas glitter over your gorgeous home…where it all begin, the door! A door reef is such a fantastic way to have the Christmas joy starting before you even step into the interior space indoors! And there is so much choice out there, if your Christmas tree has white and gold baubles then the reef could match, setting the Christmas spirit for your house indoors and out! Either way we hope you enjoy getting your house all ready for the festive season, oh…don’t forget to eat lots of chocolate and cakes, after all it is the season to be jolly!
