Giving your furniture a new lease of life!!

Find ways to give old pieces of furniture and accessories a new lease of life. Sometimes outdated and tired furniture needs a facelift and you may not want to get rid of sentimental items or your budget may not stretch far enough for new home accessories!

We are very excited to share with you this exciting little project that Yvonne herself has worked on. Yvonne transformed this outdated, old fashioned chair into a contemporary fresh new design. She has completely changed the look of this piece and given it WOW factor! Yvonne bought this vintage piece from an online vintage shop!

She painted the feet of the stool herself with Annie Sloan chalk paint in ‘’French Linen’’. Chalk Paint is a unique decorative paint developed by Annie Sloan in 30 decorative and historical colours made specifically for painting furniture, painting floors, and for giving walls a completely matt, velvety finish.

Chalk Paint sticks to just about any surface… wood, concrete, metal, matt plastic, earthenware and much more, inside and outside the home. It dries fast too so you can add second or third coats quickly, and start enjoying your revitalised walls, floors and furniture sooner. Gorgeous results have never been so simple and straightforward.

She chose a lovely Casamance fabric for the chair to be upholstered in. She had the buttons made out of random scrap fabrics, mixing up the colours from metallic’s to lovely canary yellow to give it a fresh edgy look. Casamance takes its inspiration from the love of beauty: the modernity of the exclusive designs is enhanced by the colours, an elaborate exercise in subtlety by and for the brand. Classic designs, renewed to attain the height of design, the brand creates unexpected affinities, endlessly reinventing sophistication.

Don’t be afraid this Spring to be creative and give you’re old piece of furniture a new lease of life without breaking the budget!
